निर्वाचन आयोग की जन सूचना अधिकारी हरजीत कौर द्वारा लखनऊ स्थित एक्टिविस्ट डॉ नूतन ठाकुर को दी गयी सूचना के अनुसार आयोग को लोक सभा चुनाव 2019 के दौरान अधिकारियों के खिलाफ आई शिकायतों तथा ट्रान्सफर के संबंध में कोई जानकारी नहीं है.
नूतन ने देश के विभिन्न राज्यों के अधिकारियों, जिनके खिलाफ लोक सभा चुनाव 2019 में विभिन्न राजनैतिक दलों तथा अन्य व्यक्तियों द्वारा शिकायतें की गयी थीं, के नाम तथा विवरण तथा उन पर कृत कार्यवाही के संबंध में जानकारी मांगी थी. सुश्री कौर ने कहा कि यह सूचना आयोग के पास उपलब्ध नहीं है तथा इस विषयवस्तु का संबंध विभिन्न राज्यों के मुख्य निर्वाचन अधिकारी से जान पड़ता है.
नूतन ने इन चुनावों के दौरान ट्रान्सफर हुए अधिकारियों के नाम तथा विवरण मांगे थे, जिस पर सुश्री कौर ने पुनः कहा कि यह सूचना आयोग के पास उपलब्ध नहीं है तथा इस विषयवस्तु का संबंध विभिन्न राज्य सरकारों से जान पड़ता है. नूतन के अनुसार निर्वाचन आयोग के पास इतनी जरूरी जानकारी का नहीं होना आश्चर्यजनक है.

The reply sent by Harjeet Kaur, CPIO of Election Commission of India to Lucknow based activist Dr Nutan Thakur says that the Commission does not have information with it about complaints and transfers of officers during the Lok Sabha elections 2019.
Nutan had requested to provide names and details of the officers in various States of country against whom complaints came from various political parties and others during the Lok Sabha General elections 2019 along with the details of the action taken on these complaints. Ms Kaur replied that this information is not available in the Commission and the subject matter appears to be concerned with the Chief Election Officers of the States.
Nutan had also requested to provide names of the officers and their details who have been transferred during these elections, to which Ms Kaur again replied that this information is not available in the Commission and the subject matter appears to be concerned with the State Governments.
As per Nutan, it is rather strange that the Election Commission does not have been these necessary information.
